Pleased to share our new publication, “Hepatology: Emerging Paradigms in MASLD, Viral Hepatitis, Cholestatic Liver Disease, Portal Hypertension and Hepatocellular Carcinoma” in Liver International, summarizing key advances presented at the First Annual Paris International Liver Meeting (PILM) 2026.
The review highlights a fundamental shift in hepatology—from managing advanced disease and its complications toward earlier identification, risk stratification, and disease modification. Across MASLD/MASH, viral hepatitis, cholestatic liver disease, portal hypertension, and HCC, advances in non-invasive testing, targeted therapies, and precision medicine are rapidly transforming clinical care. Collectively, these developments point toward a new era of hepatology centered on earlier intervention and individualized, mechanism-driven treatment.
